The foundation of our firm began to take shape in the 1990s, when one of our founders commenced his law studies and embarked on a professional journey at some of the country’s leading law firms. With economic liberalisation and the modernisation of the financial sector, unprecedented legal challenges arose, including those stemming from the activities of Brazil’s first regulatory agencies, such as ANATEL (1997) and ANVISA (1999). During this period, we initiated our practice in international trade (antitrust) and regulatory law, establishing a solid base of expertise.

In the 2000s, Brazil experienced consistent economic growth, driven by stabilisation policies and the commodities boom, yet also faced the repercussions of the 2008 global financial crisis. Within this context, we deepened our experience in strategic litigation and the management of complex case portfolios, increasingly offering tailored solutions for executives and their families, with a focus on asset and family wealth planning.

Over the past thirteen years, in the face of economic and political instability, periodic recessions, the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and tax reform, we have consolidated our practice in areas that now define CRSA: planning and structuring of family and corporate holdings, strategic contracts, and high-complexity litigation; and family law.
